Manifesto
The world is asking
“Is this true?”
1.67 million fact-check requests were made to AI bots on X in seven months. Those bots are wrong roughly 45% of the time.
What’s broken
Trust in media has collapsed to 28% — a historic low. Community Notes takes 15 hours to publish; by then the post has already reached 80% of its audience. Meta shut down its entire fact-checking program. The tools people rely on are failing them.
Meanwhile, 70% of Americans believe fact-checkers are biased. Not because fact-checking doesn’t work as a methodology — but because it has become politically coded as a product.
The result: a verification vacuum. Millions of people asking “is this real?” with nowhere to get a trustworthy answer.
What we believe
A living, verified picture of what’s happening in the world — where every fact is sourced, every connection is attested, and the picture gets more complete over time.
Trust is earned through transparency, not authority. Verification should be continuous, not retroactive. And the reasoning behind every claim should be auditable by anyone, forever.
Not a news feed. A truth feed. One that’s alive before you even open it.
How Dossier works
Agents monitor
AI agents continuously scan wire services, news APIs, and social feeds. They detect events, classify claims, and cluster related reports — 24/7, before any user opens the app.
Agents verify
Each claim is cross-referenced against independent sources. Confidence scores are calculated based on source independence, reliability, recency, and consistency. Every step is recorded.
Chain attests
Every detection, verification, and score is attested on Hedera Consensus Service — immutable, timestamped, publicly auditable. Not controlled by Dossier. Not editable after the fact.
Claims with evidence get strengthened. Claims without evidence get exposed. The system is structurally hostile to unfounded narratives — by design, not by editorial judgment.
Why this is different
Existing solutions fail in predictable ways. AI fact-checkers hallucinate with no audit trail. Community-driven systems are too slow. Legacy fact-checkers have become politically coded. Aggregators flood feeds with AI-generated spam.
Dossier is the only system where verification happens in real time — before users arrive — with every reasoning step immutably recorded on a public ledger. For complex stories, agents surface gaps and users contribute evidence, with every contribution verified before it enters the record.
Built on
How Dossier sustains itself
Agents verify news for free. Users make it better. Platforms pay for the enriched output. Each layer adds value but doesn’t require the others to be fully operational.
Agents verify
AI agents continuously monitor sources, extract claims, verify facts, and attest every step on Hedera. This produces the base intelligence layer — always running, always free.
Users enrich
Contributors add what AI can’t access — photos from the ground, social media finds, local knowledge. Every accepted contribution is on-chain and earns the contributor a revenue share when the intelligence is licensed.
Platforms pay
Newsrooms, AI companies, and platforms license the enriched intelligence via API — verified events, confidence scores, source analysis, and attestation trails. Pay per request with HBAR or via API key subscription.
For Newsrooms & Publishers
Intelligence API
Access structured, verified intelligence for editorial workflows. Confidence scores, source analysis, entity extraction, and full attestation trails. Pay per request with HBAR or generate an API key.

Get indexed as a trusted source in the verification pipeline. Every time Dossier cites your reporting, it drives readers back to your articles. Build a verifiable trust signal for your newsroom.

You see something. You know something. Dossier surfaces evidence gaps in developing stories — fill them with firsthand context, source URLs, or expert analysis. Every accepted contribution is attested on Hedera with your identity.
When that intelligence is licensed to newsrooms and platforms, you earn a revenue share. Original content (photos, videos, firsthand accounts) earns the most. Curated finds and expert context earn attribution and a share of story-level licensing.
